It is important to combine the intake of Vitamin D3+K2 with the intake of our Total Magnesium, since the latter is responsible for activating and transporting the vitamin to the correct place in our body. However, it is not strictly necessary to take both in the same dose; taking them both on the same day is sufficient.

Total Magnesium should be taken 2 capsules a day, preferably with food. The 2 capsules can be taken together or separately throughout the day. If you take them 45 minutes before going to sleep (the 2 capsules) it can help you sleep better, because it naturally helps promote the natural production of GABA, a relaxing neurotransmitter (it does not make you sleep but it relaxes you).

Our Total Magnesium does not cause diarrhea and therefore is not useful for relieving constipation. Precisely, both magnesium citrate and magnesium oxide are NOT absorbed (you lose the benefits of supplementing with magnesium since you take it, but it does not reach the blood and therefore does not reach your cells) and stay in your intestinal lumen, irritating the entire intestinal mucosa and attracting water from inside your body to the intestinal lumen. All of this ultimately causes your intestines to move because what they want is to eliminate that irritating magnesium and by capturing water, it also makes the stool more watery and liquid. So if you take it for this purpose, total magnesium is not useful because Isabel has formulated it precisely so that it is absorbed and therefore you have the maximum benefits to optimize your magnesium levels.

With our Vitamin D3+k2, you can get the optimal dose of this vitamin, just as it manages to raise levels when they are low, it does not raise levels above optimal levels because to do so you would need a much higher dose (for example, hydroferol). In this way, you can minimize all the risks of excess vitamin D that can occur from megadoses of medications.

Our VitD3+K2 has the safest and most appropriate amount to not only replenish vitamin D in about 3-6 months, but also to ensure that this replenishment is safe, making the calcium absorbed thanks to vitamin D go to the bones and not be deposited in the arteries thanks to vitamin K2.

Menaquinone 7 (the best vitamin K2) found in the vitamin D3+K2 supplement, unlike K1, does NOT affect coagulation or platelet aggregation. Its function is, on the one hand, to help transport dietary calcium to the bones, preventing it from being deposited in the arteries. And, on the other hand, it activates osteoblasts (bone producers). Although they are called K, they are not similar at all. K1 (coagulation) in K2 (bone) is like vitamin B1, B2, B3, etc., which are called "similar" but have radically different functions.

The fact that it is an oil extracted from algae does NOT mean that it contains iodine because we have not taken the whole algae and put it in a capsule (and even so, iodine, except for people with HYPERthyroidism, is essential for multiple bodily functions and people with hypothyroidism should consume it, no more, but what is recommended). Even so, the oil from which our omega 3 is extracted does not contain iodine. We do not put "the whole algae" but it undergoes a process of extraction, purification and concentration that eliminates other micronutrients such as iodine. Also, if it had iodine we would be obliged to put it on the label.

Although the ideal way to take Vegan Omega 3+ is as a whole capsule, we understand that some people may have difficulty swallowing capsules. In these cases, it is possible to "puncture" the capsule and dilute its contents into a food or drink. Please note that the contents may have a slight lemon aroma, which could influence the taste of the food or drink into which it is diluted. This option ensures that you can still benefit from the Omega-3 fatty acids without the need to swallow the capsule.

Algae is the original source of Omega-3 fatty acids, especially EPA and DHA. Unlike fish which only act as an intermediary (by feeding on algae), by turning to algae, you get Omega-3 in its purest and most concentrated form. Also, unlike fish, algae oil is not exposed to marine pollutants such as mercury, dioxins and PCBs, ensuring a cleaner and safer supplement. Last but not least, algae oil production has a lower environmental impact compared to industrial fishing, which can contribute to overfishing and the destruction of marine ecosystems.

It cannot have the IFOS seal because IFOS stands for International FISH OIL Standard. So it would be a bit strange for a vegan supplement extracted from algae to have a seal for something that refers to fish oil. However, we are certified by GOED, which is the only organization dedicated exclusively to ensuring that its members meet the quality standards in the omega-3 fatty acid market.
