Hello everyone,
Today, on Pharmacist's Day, I want to thank you. For trusting IVB wellnesslab and, by extension, me, as well as for recommending us to the people who come into your pharmacy every day looking for advice that truly helps them.
When you recommend an IVB product, I know you aren't just recommending a brand. You are telling someone who trusts you: “I believe this can help you.” And behind that advice lies your knowledge and a trust you have built over time. That is why I like to say that this trust does not belong to us; you lend it to us. And I feel the responsibility to respond with the same rigor with which you make that recommendation.
For me, that responsibility begins when I decide which product to develop and how to formulate it. Every ingredient I choose and the dose I include must have a reason based on science. And I want to be able to explain it to you clearly: what I have chosen, why, and what we can expect from the product, without promising what we do not yet know. This way, you can assess whether it makes sense for the person in front of you.
To formulate, I rely on studies of the ingredients I choose. But I also want to know how the product works exactly as the patient will take it. That is why I place such importance on studying the finished product: to verify what results that specific formula offers.
At IVB, we already have studies on the finished product for FemmeBalance and Satisens: the former is published and the latter is in the process of being published. In addition, I rely on the work of reviewing studies and meta-analyses to develop the range. I want to continue moving in this direction, studying the products I formulate and sharing the results with you. Even when the evidence does not allow us to claim everything we would like.
For me, working with you makes perfect sense. You know your patients, you listen to them, and you can ask them how they have fared when they return to the pharmacy. That closeness, combined with your clinical knowledge, is of immense value. My responsibility is to formulate products that you can evaluate with that same criteria. Your questions and your level of demand help me improve.
I will continue working to give you reasons to trust: formulating with rigor and explaining to you with transparency the evidence behind each product. And, together with the IVB team, offering training to your teams and helping you resolve any doubts that arise in the pharmacy, with the goal of knowing more to fear less and choose better.
